Do you believe in a just transition to a fossil fuel free future with good green jobs for all?! We do too!
We are creating art that will appear on Earth Day in a high visibility location to encourage and actively grow public demand for an equitable transition to a de-carbonized, climate resilient Sonoma County.
Here in Sonoma County,
We Are the Flooded. We Are the Drought-Stricken. We Are the Brokenhearted Sifting Through Ashes
We are farmers yielding fewer crops. We are the poisoned, whether we know it yet or not. We are the young struggling to breathe and the seniors with limited mobility. We are friends and family, co-workers and neighbors. We are indigenous. We are migrants. We are of all colors, ages, races, religions, genders, backgrounds and abilities who want to protect the people and places we love.
Together We Can Build Our Shared Future
We believe that a just, fossil free future is necessary, beautiful and inevitable. We believe it is up to the people to demand a livable better future from their leaders. We are members of the Sonoma County Arm in Arm hub. We aim to ignite a transnational era that ends the climate crisis by centering on racial and economic justice. Our primary focus is to create and participate in acts of nonviolent moral protest in order to help accelerate progress towards Sonoma County’s goal of carbon neutrality by 2030. We meet regularly in order to plan actions, recruit new members, and train ourselves and our community to take the steps to achieve climate justice.
